I examined how income inequality is associated with the tax revenue cyclicality chiefly using U.S. county individual taxable income data from 1989-2019.
By constructing a two-way fixed effect model, we find that provincial education quality is positively associated with the fiscal expenditure, and more specifically, educational expenditure.
